Mark was a member of the South Australia Police (SAPOL) between 1975 and 2012. Between 1980 and 2003, he served in various areas within the Criminal Investigation Branch, specialising in Fraud Investigations. During the latter part of his career, Mark was a Supervisory Trainer at the Police Academy, Fort Largs. He managed various aspects of recruit and post-graduated police officers training in areas of management and leadership.
Currently, Mark has his own training and development consultancy. He has a wealth of experience in the Vocational and Higher education sectors and is qualified to advise on the management aspects of starting up and operating a business. Mark prides himself in his ability to communicate (both written and orally) and liaise with people at all levels, linked closely to his capacity to provide leadership in a group or team environment and effectively interact with a variety of personality styles.
He is self-motivated, with a demonstrated commitment to sound work ethics and management advice. This is strategically aligned to his ability to effectively delegate tasks and facilitate resources to enable those tasks and initiatives to be effectively carried out.
Mark is highly motivated with a positive approach to work linked to a readiness to embrace business and management challenges with great skill and enthusiasm. To maintain his commitment to quality and relevant advice to clients, Mark continually augments his existing qualifications with current adult learning trends and training delivery practices to better equip his client base of adult learners. He has developed and delivered management, business and vocational training as well as higher education in a variety of contexts including UniSA, tafeSA, SAPOL, St John Ambulance, the Australian Human Resources Institute, MARC School of Management, and local and State government agencies.
